The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS), in collaboration with the Mustehkam Parlimaan (MuP), an EU funded project, organized a two-day interactive session on Consultation with Members of Minority Caucus of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab on September 25-26, 2025. The proceedings started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the opening remarks from Mr. Abdul Samad Bajwa, Additional Secretary Provincial Assembly of Punjab and Ms. Mary Cummins, Team Leader, MuP. Ms. Samar Awais, DG- CB&D, PIPS moderated the session.
“The first session- Concept of Minority Caucus –Focused on the Conceptual Framework of the Caucus in addition to the Constitutional Provisions guaranteeing minority rights”.
“In the second session the participants were engaged in the group work activity after a brief presentation on the concept of SWOT Analysis. The group activity was followed by group presentation to the larger audience on the identified key priority areas by each group”.
“The day concluded with a conceptual discussion on vision, mission and developing a mission statement”.
“Day second of the event focusses on developing one year action plan, Post Legislative Scrutiny and the process of Legislation in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab”.
